What are Adapter Sockets used for?
Adapter Sockets are used to vary the size of a single end of pressure pipe, allowing you to connect it to a smaller / larger diameter pipe on the opposing side.
It is important to remember that when connecting pipe to a fitting, is that the pipe is Male ended and therefore must always connect to a Female end adapter fitting.
What types of Adapter Sockets are there?
The IMPERIAL / INCH range provides:
- Plain to Plain PVC Adapter Socket
- Plain to Female Thread PVC Adapter Socket
- Plain to Male Threaded PVC Adapter Socket
The METRIC range provides:
- Plain to Female Thread PVC Adapter Socket
- Plain to Male Thread PVC Adapter Socket
What is the working pressure of an Adapter fitting?
Our PVC Adapter Socket has a working temperature of +5°C to +60°C.
What pressure rating are Adapter fittings?
Our PVC Adapter Socket has a BAR pressure rating of 12 – 15 bar.
